PART OF BLAKE STREET CLOSED BEGINNING APRIL 23RD

(4/12/2007) Construction Project to Run for 3 Months

NEW HAVEN- Improvements will be taking place on Blake Street at Springside and Farnham Avenues including the addition of a left turn lane. This project will involve widening Blake Street in order to facilitate the street’s traffic flow. This work will take place in the Wintergreen Brook vicinity. The Blake Street construction will also include repairs needed to meet the permit conditions of the Wintergreen of Westville project. A new signal will be installed at Farnham Avenue.

To accommodate the construction work, Blake Street will be closed to westbound traffic between the hours of 7AM and 4PM, Monday through Friday, beginning April 23, 2007. This work is expected to continue for approximately three months. During this time, westbound traffic will be detoured to Whalley Avenue. This route was used during the recent closure of Blake Street to reconstruct the Wintergreen Brook Bridge.
